The Honours and Awards Program offers grants, scholarships, and awards. These recognize and support family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students committed to education, research, and excellence in the practice of family medicine.
The Program celebrates members’ achievements and outstanding work through funding for scholarships and grants, and by promoting their successes. The FAFM provides funding for the Program, which offers a diverse list of awards, grants, and scholarships, from continuing professional development grants to project development and support awards. This funding allows the awards program to support the doctors of today and tomorrow in their pursuit of advancing primary care for all Canadians. The Program is assessed annually by a committee to ensure the subject matter of the awards is timely and relevant to recipients.
