Co-RIG Program Phase I Projects
The Foundation for Advancing Family Medicine (FAFM) appreciated the opportunity to consider the merits of over 100 proposed initiatives in the context of the Co-RIG Program Phase I guiding principles, established by FAFM together with the CMA Foundation.
Family physicians across Canada submitted compelling applications. Unfortunately, the Foundation for Advancing Family Medicine and the CMA Foundation are unable to fund every project. We thank all of the applicants who submitted a proposal for funding in Phase I of the Co-RIG Program. The dedication of Canadian family physicians to bettering the lives of Canadians during the COVID-19 pandemic is admirable.

Applications for Phase I are now closed
The application period for Phase I of the Co-RIG Program is closed as of June 4, 2020 at 4pm ET. We sincerely thank all applicants for submitting their proposals.
All applicants will be notified of their application status in July, and the list of grant recipients will officially be released in August.
Phase 2 will begin in autumn.

Request for Proposals for Co-RIG Program Phase I
The first phase of the Covid-19 Pandemic Response and Impact Grant Program (Co-RIG) will target immediate and short-term innovations that maximize the effectiveness of care for patients, while guarding the safety of health workers, leading to a rapid, front-line response to protect and treat everyone in Canada.
Applications are due June 4, 2020 at 4pm ET. Submit your application.

The CMA Foundation (CMAF) and the Foundation for Advancing Family Medicine (FAFM) have come together to support family physicians in their efforts to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In recognition of the exceptional pressures facing health care today, the CMA Foundation (CMAF) has committed to supporting innovation in family medicine by generously granting $5 million to the FAFM’s COVID-19 pandemic response and impact grant program (Co-RIG).
