Environmental Health Award
The Environmental Health Award is presented to a family physician or family medicine resident who is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and has demonstrated leadership in environmental health.
Aspects and examples of leadership in environmental issues to be considered include:
- Breadth of involvement in health and environment issues
- Length of commitment to the issue
- Leadership both within the profession and within the wider community
- Policy work
- Education of the profession and the wider community
- Research and publications
- Involvement with environmental boards
- Membership on environmental committees
The award will be presented during Family Medicine Forum (FMF) 2025. The Environmental Health Award may reimburse up to $1,500 to help offset the costs of accommodation, meals, and travel to attend FMF.
Eligibility criteria::
- Each nominee must be a CFPC member who has been in good standing for at least one year
- Nominees cannot have received this award in the past three years

Nomination process:
- Nominations must reach the CFPC National Office by 4:00 p.m. (ET) on May 20, 2025
- Nominations must be submitted online
